Sonia Xiang (they/he) is a Chinese-American visual arts student based in Lenapehoking (Brooklyn, NY). They are currently working towards a BFA in Visual Arts at CUNY Hunter College with an emphasis in sculpture, fiber, and new media work. In their practice, they explore reconstructions of time, body, and relationality as technologies for the radical queer imagination. They prioritize tending to their relationship to material, technology, and memory within their artistic process, centering the ritual of care and transformation as their medium of artmaking.
